ALPHA2ACTIVE™ Therapy

About ALPHA2ACTIVE™ Therapy

Alpha-2-Macroglobulin (A2M) is a naturally-occurring molecule found in your blood.  It acts as a powerful protector against cartilage breakdown by inhibiting the actions of proteins that damage joints and can cause inflammation. Similar to a Venus Flytrap, A2M captures these destructive elements in its two binding sites and eliminates them through your body’s natural processes. While the A2M molecule is our body’s own defense mechanism, it is unable to enter the joint or disc space in large enough quantities due to it’s complex structure. As a result, it is necessary to inject additional concentrated A2M into the affected area to help restore balance and possibly relieve pain.

Through a patented and proprietary process, ALPHA2ACTIVE™ isolates and concentrates A2M from your blood for reinjection at the injury site. The concentrated does helps boost natural healing and support tissue restoration.

A simple test performed by your doctor can help determine if you are a good candidate for ALPHA2ACTIVE™ therapy. Research has identified “pain protein” as FAC (Fibronectin-Aggrecan Complex) and it’s association with painful inflammation. The diagnostic, called FACT (Fibronectin-Aggrecan Complex Test), looks for this unique biomarker in your joint or disc space to indicate the presence of destructive enzymes ALPHA2ACTIVE™ is known to remove.

Early treatment usually equals better recovery. Learn more about ALPHA2ACTIVE™ and your joint health.

ALPHA2ACTIVE™ has been used by physicians in the following applications:

Osteoarthritis
Bursitis
Ligament sprains and tears
Tendonitis and tendinosis
Plantar fasciitis
Tennis or Golfer’s Elbow
Degenerative disc or joint disease

How it works

01.

Extraction

During an in-office visit, a blood sample is drawn and run through a centrifuge to separate it's components.

02.

Concentration

The solution is filtered through a proprietary system to isolate the A2M molecules for a concentrated dose.

03.

Activation

The optimal solution is injection into your injury site to begin baiting and trapping the destructive proteins known to cause inflammation.

04.

Relief

Some patients begin experiencing pain relief shortly after their first injection. The healing process continues and individual results may vary. The number of treatments is determined by your doctor and care plan.
